Gator LB Neiron Ball cleared to return to football activities
Florida LB Neiron Ball has been cleared to return to football-related activities after missing all of last season, Florida announced today.
"Neiron Ball has passed his final medical checkup and has been fully cleared to participate in football activities,'' the school said in a statement.
Ball was diagnosed in February 2011 with a hereditary congenital vascular condition, which led to him being hospitalized last February suffering a brain hemorrage that required surgery at Shands Hospital.
The Jackson, Ga., native played in all 13 games in his first season in 2010. He had 10 tackles, mostly on special teams, and one tackle for loss.
