Gator vollleyball's Chloe Mann named to preseason All-SEC team
Florida junior middle blocker Chloe Mann has been named to the Preseason All-SEC team, voted on by the SEC coaches, the league office announced this afternoon.
Kentucky, newcomer Missouri and Tennessee led all schools with two selections each. In addition, Arkansas, Florida and LSU each had a student-athlete named to the team. Six of the nine of the players listed were named All-SEC First or Second Team in 2011.
Mann had a breakout sophomore season for the Gators, starting 14 matches and playing in 27 overall, setting a new Florida program record for hitting percentage in a season (.500). Mann had 145 kills and 67 blocks on the season. Her hitting efficiency aided the Gators to the nation’s best hitting percentage (.308) and she led the SEC in hitting percentage throughout the last six weeks of the season.
