Gators add two to 2013 football class



Florida coach Will Muschamp has announced the addition of two more players to the Gators' 2013 football class.

The Gators closed out National Signing Day with 28 players, and the two additions brings that total to 30.

Trevon Young, of Bradenton, is a 6-foot-6, 270 pound athlete who played offensive line at Braden River High. He has played only two years of high school football.

Orlando punter Johnny Townsend has also signed to play for the Gators. He was amed a U.S. Army All-American and won the 2013 Felix "Doc" Blanchard Award, given annually to the top player at the U.S. Army All-America game who best exemplifies the U.S. Army's high standard of excellence in community service, education and athletic distinction. He was named to the 2012 Florida Class 8A All-State team and played in the Central Florida All-Star Game. Averaged 44.6 yards per punt as a senior.
