Gators earn dominating 75-43 win over Arkansas

After earning a victory over Auburn on Thursday despite scoring the fewest points in Billy Donovan’s 15-year tenure at Florida, the biggest concern entering Saturday night was how Florida would respond to the challenge of moving on with a one-day turnaround.

So Donovan took the unusual step of sequestering his team at a hotel Friday night to make sure their focus was where it needed to be. The result was better than even the Gators themselves could have expected.

Florida has now won nine consecutive games against SEC West competition. The Gators have not lost to Arkansas since the 1994-95 season.

Florida shot 57 percent from the field in the first half and cruised to a 75-43 victory over Arkansas in front of 11,184 at the O’Connell Center Saturday night.

Sophomore guard Kenny Boynton led the team with 20 points, and 10 different Gators scored in the game.
