Gators get league-high 10 players named to SEC Coaches Preseason All-SEC Team
Florida senior center Mike Pouncey, senior OL Carl Johnson and junior CB Janoris Jenkins were all first-team All-SEC selections on the 2010 SEC Coaches' All-SEC Preseason team, part of a league-high 10 Gator players named to the first, second and third teams, announced Tuesday by the league office.
Defending national champion Alabama had a league-high six first-team selections. Ten of the 12 league schools had at least one first-team selection and every school had at least one player on either the first or second team.
Tampa linebacker A.J. Jones and RB Jeff Demps were second-team selections for the Gators, along with safeties Ahmad Black and Will Hill. Three players were named to the second-team on special teams: return specialist Chris Rainey, punter Chas Henry and kicker Caleb Sturgis.
