Gators' Jeff Driskel may see action this weekend
Last week Florida coach Will Muschamp said he didn't anticipate backup quarterback Jeff Driskel seeing any action this week against FAU, but on Monday Muschamp said there's a possibility Driskel may play.
"We'll cross that bridge when we come to it as far as the game is concerned,'' Muschamp said. "We'll work through that. But John(Brantley) is our starting quarterback. If it presents itself that somebody else plays, that'll be fine. If that's Jeff, it's Jeff. At this point, it would be Jeff being the backup, but certainly through the week we're going to work through and see that the guys that practice the best deserve to play. But John Brantley's our starting quarterback.''
Florida and FAU have met just once, with the Gators earning a 59-20 win in 2007.
