Gators' Kenny Boynton named SEC Player of the Week
Florida guard Kenny Bonyton has been named the SEC Player of the Week, the league office announced today.
Boynton had 22 points (6-of-12 from 3-point range), two assists, one rebound and one steal in a win over 22nd-ranked Texas A&M in the Orange Bowl Classic in Sunrise this past weekend. It was the sixth time this season and 22nd time in his career that Boynton has surpassed the 20-point mark in a game.
This is the second consecutive week the Gators have had players honored. Last week Florida swept the weekly award with Patric Young being named Player of the Week, and Bradley Beal honored as Freshman of the Week.
