Gators lose 33-29 heartbreaker to LSU in final seconds
LSU quarterback Jarrett Lee hit wide receiver Terrence Toliver for a 3-yard pass with six seconds remaining to give LSU a 33-29 victory over Florida Saturday night at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
Florida (4-2, 2-2) took a lead with 3:21 remaining in the game, but LSU responded with a 10-play, 62-yard game-wining drive.
The Gators struggled again offensively, but also gave up 224 passing yards to a team that entered the game ranked No. 112 nationally in passing offense.
Florida coach Urban Meyer said the Gators aren't playing very well right now and have to get better. It's just that simple, he said.
“Right now we should be better than we are, and we’ve got to work our tails off,'' he said.
