Florida coach Will Muschamp said Monday that two defensive starters will be lost to injuries for at least one month.

Junior LB Jelani Jenkins underwent surgery on his injured thumb Monday morning, and could miss up to four weeks.

Junior CB Cody Riggs has a fractured foot and will also miss four weeks. Riggs' injury will not require surgery.

Both were injured in Saturday's win over Texas A&M.

Gator OL Matt Patchan (strained pectoral) will miss his third consecutive game, and Muschamp said he most likely won't return before Florida's open date.
