The No. 1 seed Gators (47-18) will play SEC-rival South Carolina (45-17) Saturday at 9 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPN.

UF and South Carolina have the unique distinction of being the only two teams to play in the final College World Series held at Rosenblatt Stadium and participate in the first two CWS held at the TD Ameritrade Park Omaha.

Florida and South Carolina will be meeting for the 10th time in the past two seasons. The Gamecocks went 4-1 against the Gators last season, including twice in Omaha. Among those victories was the title-clinching game to earn the Gamecocks' second straight NCAA championship.

This season, Florida is 5-2 vs. the Gamecocks, including a win to outs USC from the SEC Tournament, 7-2, on May 25.

The Gators enter the CWS on  a roll, having  outscored opponents, 41-14, in their five postseason games.
