Gators place nine players on coaches All-SEC team; Tim Tebow a unanimous selection
Florida and Alabama each had a league-high nine players selected to the Coaches All-SEC team, announced on Tuesday.
Gators' QB Tim Tebow was one of only three players who were unanimous selections, joining Alabama RB Mark Ingram and Tide LB Rolondo McClain.
Coaches are not permitted to vote for their own players, thus a unanimous selection earns 11 of 12 first-team votes.
The Gators placed seven players on first team offense and defense: Tebow, TE Aaron Hernandez, C Maurkice Pouncey, OL Mike Pouncey, DE Carlos Dunlap, LB Brandon Spikes and CB Joe Haden.
Second-team Gator selections were: DB Jermaine Cunningham and LB Ryan Stamper.
