Gators pregame: Demps not limping, Patchan not suited up

Based on pregame observations, Florida tailback Jeff Demps may be ready to help buoy Florida's beleaguered rushing attack tonight against Mississippi State.

Demps, who missed the LSU game with a sprained left foot and hasn't been at full strength for nearly a month, has the foot heavily taped but doesn't appear to be limping. His stop-start action looks seamless to this point.

Meantime, former Armwood/Freedom High star Matt Patchan, a sophomore offensive tackle nursing a surgically repaired wrist, is not suited up.

Roughly 20 minutes before kickoff, the weather, as one might imagine, is blissful -- mid-60s temperatures with a southerly breeze.
