Florida's injury problems will remain a major issue this week as the Gators prepare for road games at Alabama and Arkansas.

Gator F Will Yeguete is most likely out for at least one week with a concussion he sustained in Saturday's loss against Tennessee.  Junior G Mike Rosario will miss Tuesday night's game against Alabama with a hip pointer, and F Cody Larson will be limited as he still recovers from the flu.

Florida coach Billy Donovan characterized the Gators' front court situation as "dire" and said the Gators will need to make major adjustments because of the many injuries.

As far as Yeguete's injury, Donovan said he still has not passed all of the mandatory tests required to be cleared to play.

"This is his second concussion of the year, he had one against Ohio State,'' Donovan said. "So they weren’t necessarily back-to-back or very, very close to each other. There was certainly several months of preparation from when this happened. There’s protocol that the trainer and medical staff have to go through as it relates to concussions. And right now, he has passed two of the five parts; there are still three parts he has not passed. So I would say right not that this week he’s out. I’m not anticipating him coming back for Arkansas either.  In talking to our trainer, Casey Prather last summer broke his nose – Patric hit him with an elbow accidentally- and it took him three weeks to be able to get back to normal activity, practice and workouts and those kinds of things. So the concussion issues now, I think because of football, have been addressed and certainly at a very, very heightened level. And there’s just this protocol that we have to go through regardless of how well he’s feeling.

Donovan said Yeguete was unconscious when he arrived by his side following the injury on Saturday, but he's unsure if Yeguete has any memory of what happened.

"I talked to him after the game, and I didn’t see him yesterday,'' Donovan said. "He’s away from it right now because apparently lighting and a lot of movement – as in watching TV, computers – that stuff’s not good, so he needs to rest. But I don’t think he’s having any symptoms where he’s sick or  he’s just dizzy all the time. I think he feels okay, but he’s not passing these tests. And I think three of the tests, he’s not really showing any signs that he’s close to passing them. So this could be a couple of weeks, could be a week, could be three weeks. But I would say right now where his symptoms are at, I feel pretty confident that he'll be out for this entire week.''
