Gators quarterback Jeff Driskel confident in Gators' chances vs. LSU
Last year at this time, Florida quarterback Jeff Driskel was the freshman backup nursing an ankle sprain and desperately trying to recover in time to play against LSU.
He didn't make it.
This week, Driskel is preparing to play in the biggest game of his career as the Gators' starting QB. And he has assured Florida fans the game won't be like the 41-11 outcome of last season.
"Going in last year we definitely felt like we had a shot as well,'' Driskel said. "We didn’t go in last year saying hopefully we don’t lose by 20, or we’ll try to keep it close. We go into every game thinking that we have a shot, knowing that we have a shot. This year we’re definitely confident. We’re definitely, it’ll be a lot closer that’s for sure. It won’t be like last year.''
