Gators return to start preparations for LSU; Tebow's status still unknown
After taking the past three days off, the Florida football team returns to practice today and will begin full-scale preparations for this weekend's upcoming game at LSU.
As of Monday morning the Florida athletic department has not released new information about the status of Florida quarterback Tim Tebow. The senior suffered a concussion in the Sept. 26 game at Kentucky and has yet to be medically cleared to return to the field.
Florida coach Urban Meyer will hold his weekly Monday press conference at noon today, and the Gators will return to the practice field this afternoon. It is possible a decision won't come until later in the week, even gameday.
Meyer said last week there is not set timetable for when Tebow can or cannot play in the game. Even if he doesn't practice but once this week, he's still eligible to play in Meyer's opinion. He said he's not one of thost coaches that mandates if a player doesn't practice during the week, he can't play.
More updates on Tebow's status later today.
