Gators rise six spots to No. 18 in AP poll

With a 29-17 come-from-behind victory over Texas A&M on the road, Florida jumped to No. 18 in this week's Associated Press poll.

The Gators dropped one spot in the poll last week after a 13-point win over Bowling Green in the season opener. But Saturday's road win apparently convinced voters the Gators are a little better than they thought.

At least for this week.

Also, in the USA Today Coaches poll, the Gators are ranked No. 17.

The SEC has four teams ranked in the Top 10 this week: No. 1 Alabama, No. 3 LSU, No. 7 Georgia, and No. 8 South Carolina.

Florida (2-0) will play its first ranked opponent of the season this weekend when the Gators play at No. 23 Tennessee (2-0). The Vols climbed into the polls for the first time this season this week.
