Florida coach Will Muschamp welcomed the news on Tuesday that St. Petersburg DE Dante Fowler had decided to sign with Florida instead of Florida State - the school he orally committed to months ago.

Muschamp praised Fowler for talking with his family and making a decision he felt was best for him.

"You recruit through this process, and sometimes when you get there to signing day, you're leaving it up to a young man and his family to make a decision,'' Muschamp said. And I think Dante had a good fit here at Florida as far as his position was concerned, his opportunity was concerned, and we're excited to add another good pass rusher to our program.''

But it turns out, that decision has caused some problems for Fowler.
