Gators well aware there are issues to be corrected

Despite the 10-point win over Tennessee, Florida coach Will Muschamp said there are many areas in need of correction for the Gators, and the players are well aware of that.

Most notably, those 16 penalties from Saturday night.

"We’ve got to clean some things up and we need to play smarter in some situations on both sides of the ball,’’ Muschamp said. “There are different things that come up, end of the game, running backs need to stay in bounds. There’s a lot of teaching points from the film as you watch the film that we’ve got to do a much better job of as we move forward, starting with this week against Kentucky.’’

Muschamp said the corrections won't include backing down on the intensity. He wants an aggressive defense - period.

"We've still got a lot of stuff we have to work on,'' LB Jon Bostic said. "As a defense, we played well but we made a lot of mistakes. But we're looking to take every game and learn from it.''
