Gators will be without Alex Tyus in next game

November

Florida starting senior forward Alex Tyus suffered a concussion in Tuesday's night's game against Ohio State and is not expected to play in Thursday night's game against North Carolina A&T.

Tyus scored four points and had four rebounds in 24 minutes against the Buckeyes.

"He went to the doctor (Wednesday) morning, so I would say right now he's probably doubtful,'' Florida coach Billy Donovan said. "I would not anticipate him playing and I'm not sure what we will do starting-wise. We're probably looking at three options: (Erik) Murphy, (freshman Will) Yeguete or (freshman Patric) Young. We'll probably look a little bit more at A&T and see what would be the best lineup for us to start with. But I don't anticipate him playing.''
