Heading into 2012 season, SEC football remains a hot commodity for television networks

Carrying SEC football games continues to mean lucrative business for television networks.

According to Broadcasting and Cable, advertising revenue for CBS broadcasts of SEC games is up 10 percent from last season. The SEC and ESPN have exclusive rights to SEC football.
