Ingram to forego senior season
Junior tight end Cornelius Ingram has decided to forego his senior season and enter the NFL draft.
Ingram is the second Florida player to declare for the NFL draft in the past two days. Ingram's roommate, defensive end Derrick Harvey, informed Florida coaches on Thursday that he will also be leaving for the NFL.
While Harvey had great success over three seasons, Ingram's star rose in a different way. He came to Florida as a quarterback out of Hawthorne High, just outside of Gainesville, with the intention of playing football and basketball. He was a reserve on the Gator basketball team his freshman year, then decided to concentrate just on football in his second season.
Ingram played in all 13 games this season, with 34 receptions for 508 yards.
