Jacksonville State "excited" about the opportunity to play at Florida

It's not often that Jacksonville State gets an opportunity to play a caliber of program such as Florida, but instead of looking at it as overwhelming, coach Jack Crowe said he's encouraged his teamt to view it as a unique opportunity.

“The challenge for us this week is to step in to a unique environment for us and we don't play in these environments a lot,'' Crowe said. "We have played in some of these environments before and it goes back to the challenge that we had at Arkansas – which was to be fully focused and playing a top ten team as we did earlier in the season.  What we are facing this week is one of the special defenses in the country.  I don't know if any other of the top defenses in the country have as high of an overall ranking in the top five categories than this team does.  They could easily be undefeated and they do it with talent, and they are an outstanding and talented football team. I probably see an SEC game a week on television – either waiting to play at night or when we get back home.  I think it is exciting to have an opportunity to play there."

Florida has an opportunity to close out the season undefeated at home, and coach Will Muschamp said the Gators won't take that lightly.

"Jacksonville State, Jack Crowe, their head football coach is a guy I've got a lot of respect for,'' he said. "He was an assistant at Auburn for a long time. He was at Arkansas for a short time. Done a nice job with their program. Their 6-4. They're multiple offensively and defensively. They're a pressure outfit on defense. We've got to be tied into what we're trying to do and how we're trying to do it. Certainly another opportunity to go improve and play well and we understand what's at stake.”
