Jon Gruden works with Tim Tebow

TP_319562_WALL_tebow_1 Former Florida quarterback Tim Tebow had a workout today at Carrollwood Day School throwing the football under the direction of ex-Bucs head coach Jon Gruden.

"It was great, it was wonderful,'' Tebow said. "I have so much respect for Coach Gruden, and to be able to spend a day with him and talk ball and be able to throw with him was a lot of fun. It was a great opportunity for me.

"(Gruden) still loves it. He's into it. He knows everything about you. He's broken you down. He understands you, and that's a big plus.''

Since the Senior Bowl, Tebow has worked with various coaches around the country, including Marc Trestman and Sam Wyche, improving his footwork, shortening his delivery and trying to prepare for the NFL game.

Tebow, who is lefthanded, began the day breaking down film of other lefthanded quarterbacks, such as Steve Young, Boomer Esiason and Chris Simms.

"It was a great day, we had a blast,'' Gruden said. "You know I love quarterbacks. It was a great day to have a chance to watch a lot of tape and spend a lot of time together. How could you not love Tim Tebow?

"He's a great person and a heck of a quarterback. He's a courageous, competitive, playmaking, indestructible force, and I think he's going to be a great success.''
