Michael Frazier II to get first start of his Gators career
Florida freshman guard Michael Frazier is scheduled to get the first start of his Gators career when No. 2 Florida hosts Mississippi State at the O'Connell Center this afternoon.
Frazier, of Tampa, is starting in place of junior guard Scottie Wilbekin, who has been removed from the starting lineup for undisclosed reasons.
Frazier has played in all 21 games this season, averaging 5.8 points. He was scheduled to have an increased role for the remainder of the season to help fill the void left by the loss of junior forward Will Yeguete. Yeguete underwent surgery on Friday to repair damage to his right knee and will miss at least the remainder of the regular season.
