Mike Pouncey expects Janoris Jenkins and Will Hill to leave early for NFL

Expect quite a bit of chaos after Florida's Jan. 1 game against Penn State in the Outback Bowl.

With Urban Meyer's departure and the arrival of Will Muschamp and most likely a predominantly new staff, players transferring and deciding to try their hand at the NFL are a certainty.

Florida C Mike Pouncey said it's all part of the deal with a coaching change.

"They've got to start all over,'' Pouncey said. "And it will look different because everybody is so used to coach Meyer being there, coach Addazio (Steve, offensive coordinator), and all them other great players that are about to leave this program. But I think they are still going to be good. . . Obviously there’s going to be a couple of them (leaving) because it happens like that every time a coach leaves. I don’t know who will or who won’t.''

But he's willing to render an opinion on who will leave early for the NFL.

"Janoris Jenkins will probably leave,'' Pouncey said. "He’s obviously one of the guys who’s going to leave. And probably Will Hill. I think he’ll look into it. I don’t know exactly if he’s going to do it, but I think he’ll definitely look into it.''

Senior DL Duke Lemmens said whenever young players ask he encourages them to stick it out and wait to see what will transpire.

"I think for the most part transferring is a really big hassle, losing a year and having to move everything,'' Lemmens said. "I hope that these kids who are thinking about transferring realize they probably chose the university for more things than the coaches. When it’s all said and done it’s about the education you’re getting and the people you meet when you’re here, the friends you make. That’s what I always say.''
