Moses Jenkins out for extended period; Xavier Nixon may return

There's more bad news for Florida CB Moses Jenkins.

Jenkins suffered a hyperextended left elbow and will at least six weeks, Florida coach Urban Meyer said Monday. It's the latest in injury setbacks for Jenkins, who suffered a concussion in the Kentucky game last September and missed the remainder of the 2009 season.

Florida OL Xavier Nixon (knee) may be able to return for Saturday's game against South Florida. Nixon underwent arthroscopic surgery two weeks ago. OL Matt Patchan (fractured right wrist) will not play this weekend, but suspended OL Carl Johnson will return to the lineup "if he does what he's supposed to do,'' Meyer said.

Also on the suspension front, safety Will Hill is also expected to return and WR Frankie Hammond, Jr. is also eligible to play. Hill was suspended last week for unknown disciplinary reasons, while Hammond was kept out as punishment for his DUI arrest last summer.
