Muschamp hires veteran NFL coach to be defensive coordinator



Dan Quinn, a 17-year coaching veteran who has spent the past 10 seasons in the NFL has been named Florida's new defensive coordinator, head coach Will Muschamp announced.

Muschamp and Quinn worked together on Nick Saban's Miami Dolphins staff.

Quinn has spent the past two seasons with the Seattle Seahawks as defensive line coach, and each of the previous eight NFL seasons he has been a defensive line coach including with the New York Jets (2007-08), Dolphins (2005-06 and San Francisco (2003-04).

Muschamp has now filled eight of his nine vacant coaching positions.
