No. 4 Florida leads Vanderbilt 11-7 at halftime

At halftime, No. 4 Florida has taken an 11-7 lead over Vanderbilt at Vanderbilt Stadium in Nashville.

The Gators had a golden opportunity to score with less than one minute remaining in the half with 1st and goal on the 1-yard line, but after a 5-yard penalty for 13 men on the field, the Gators were unable to get into the end zone and settled for a field goal.

"We squandered an opportunity there at the end with personnel issues, but that's coaching, we've got to do better than that,'' Florida coach Will Muschamp said at halftime.

Florida trailed 7-0 in the first quarter, but outscored Vandy 11-0 in the second quarter.

"We've got to finish this thing,'' Muschamp said. "They've got a decent team, and we knew it was going to be a 60-minute game. We've got to keep hanging in there and swinging."
