Pouncey most likely to remain at center
Earlier this week Florida senior center Mike Pouncey said injuries on the offensive line might force him to have to move to right tackle for the season opener - or longer.
But Florida coach Urban Meyer said Thursday that after discussions with his assistant coaches, he's fairly certain Pouncey will remain at center.
"I don't think we're going to do that,'' Meyer said. "We had that discussion. You have to ask Steve (Addazio) later. but I was opposed to that because first game I want the ball to hit the quarterback in the hands and not look like the Bad News Bears out there. He's got the little shuffle going right now. I'm not sure what it is right now, but I don't think we're going to move Mike. I hope not.''
