A record crowd of 2,517 piled into Red McEwen Field on Wednesday night for USF's game with No. 7 Florida, but unfortunately for the Bulls, there were other impressively large numbers to come.

The Gators (26-10) hit a season-high four home runs, two from freshman catcher Mike Zunino, in an 18-8 win that matches the most runs allowed by USF (17-20) in four seasons under coach Lelo Prado. The win completes a four-game sweep for the Gators this season.

Florida scored seven in the top of the first, chasing starter Kyle Parker before he retired a batter, with Daniel Pigott and Preston Tucker hitting back-to-back home runs. USF couldn't match the Gators' bats, the highlight being designated hitter Todd Brazeal going 3-for-3 with three RBIs.

The Bulls scored four runs in the seventh without a hit -- three consecutive runs scored on wild pitches -- but the Gators put the game away with five runs in the eighth. The attendance broke the USF record set at a 2007 Bulls-Gators game that drew 2,426 fans. USF stays at home to face Villanova this weekend, while Florida is home against Arkansas.
