SEC coaches name Tim Tebow SEC Offensive Player and Scholar-Athlete of the Year



Tim Tebow on Wednesday was name the 2009 SEC Offensive Player of the Year, as well as the 2009 SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year, by vote of the SEC head coaches.

It's the second consecutive season Tebow has been honored with both SEC awards. Tebow holds four NCAA records, 13 SEC records and 26 UF records.  

With the honor, Tebow joins former Gator quarterbacks Shane Matthews (1990-91) and Danny Wuerffel (1995-96) as back-to-back winners of the SEC Offensive Player of the Year award.

Tebow led the SEC in completion percentage (65.2), was second in passing efficiency (155.6),had the lowest interception percentage (1.8) and also had 13 rushing touchdowns in the league.
