Several injured Gators on track to return for South Carolina game.
Florida coach Will Muschamp said today that several of Florida's injured players who missed the Vanderbilt game, or were injured in that game, are on track to return for Saturday's game against South Carolina.
OL James Wilson (eye), DT Dominique Easley (knee) and LB Jelani Jenkins (hamstring) all practiced on Tuesday, Muschamp said. OL Jonotthan Harrison (arm) and OL Xavier Nixon (upper body) are expected to return to practice today. WR Latroy Pittman (ankle) remains questionable for the game.
"Good week of practice so far,'' Muschamp said. "We’re getting back healthy, getting some guys back on the field."
Muschamp said Wilson, who did not travel to Nashville after getting injured last week, was cleared on Tuesday to return to practice.
"It happened in a contact drill there, his helmet slipped down and he took a pretty good impact on the eye,'' Muschamp said. "I don’t have all the medical terms for it, but they didn’t feel like that he needed to be able to have contact through the weekend. They cleared him (Tuesday) and he should be ready to go."
