Shyatt to New Mexico?

GAINESVILLE - Could Florida assistant coach Larry Shyatt be headed to New Mexico?

Reports out of New Mexico have Shyatt listed among the potential candidates to replace Ritchie McKay, who was fired last week.

Shyatt has ties to the New Mexico program. He was an associate head coach with the Lobos from  1982-88. He is said to be interested, but has not commented publicly.

A former head coach at Clemson, Shyatt has been with the Gators since 2004.
