Six Florida commits to play in Under Armour High School All-Star game
Six high school seniors who have given oral commitments to Florida are on the roster for the 2010 Under Armour All-Star football game.
The game will be played at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Saturday, Jan. 2, at 11 a.m. It will be televised live on ESPN.
Former NFL head coaches Ted Marchibroda and Sam Wyche will serve as head coaches for the respective teams. Marchibroda will lead Team Blur, while Wyche will coach Team Nitro.
Florida recruit Joshua Shaw, a 6-foot-2 CB from Palmdale, Calif., will play on Team Blur.
The following UF recruis will play on Team Nitro:
S Demar Dorsey, Boyd Anderson; WR Solomon Patton, Murphy (Ala.); DT Leon Orr, Gulf; RB Mack Brown, Martin Luther King (Ga.) and OT Ian Silberman, Fleming, Island (Fla.).
The Under Armour High School All-America Football Game spotlights the nation’s top high school seniors.
Some notable alumni of the game include USC’s Matt Barkley, Georgia’s A.J. Green and Alabama’s Julio Jones.
