St. Pete native Dante Fowler, Jr. among Florida Gators named to SEC Coaches All-Freshman Team



 Former St. Petersburg Lakewood standout Dante Fowler, Jr., is one of four Florida players named to the SEC Coaches All-Freshman Team, announced today. Alamaba, Florida and Texas A&M each had four players selected, the most of any other SEC schools.

Joining Fowler: DL Jonathan Bullard, LB Antonio Morrison and OL D.J. Humphries.

Fowler played in all 12 games, and had 27 tackles (11 unassisted). He also had 6.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks.

Bullard also played in 12 games, with 26 tackles (13 unassisted), 5.0 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.

In Morrison's 12 games, 24 of his 31 tackles were solo and he also had five tackles for loss and 1.0 sacks.

Texas A&M QB Johnny Manziel is the SEC Offensive Player of the Year and the SEC Freshman of the Year.
