Tim Tebow now a spokesman for Jockey

rsz_tebow-jockey.jpgIf you're one of those people who thought you wouldn't have to see much of Tim Tebow after his Florida football career ended, it's not looking good for you. If you're a Gator fan who can't get enough, even though he's gone, take heart. He's still everywhere.

Tebow is becoming the king of endorsements.

Nike. EA Sports. Now underwear.

Yep, underwear.

On Tuesday Jockey, International announced that the former Gator and current Denver Broncos quarterback has signed a multi-year contract to serve as a company spokesperson, beginning this month. Apparently Jockey couldn't be happier.

“Tim is a highly gifted athlete with a positive attitude and an admirable character,”  Jockey Chairman and CEO Debra S. Waller said. “We at Jockey see a very bright future with Tim, and believe that he is an excellent representative for the brand. Tim is genuine, smart and driven and those qualities align well with Jockey. We look forward to building a long and collaborative relationship with him in the coming years.”

Tebow seems thrilled, too.

“I’m excited to represent the Jockey brand and to work with such an innovative company,” said Tebow. “I’ve long been a fan and consumer of Jockey, and think they make a quality product with a great fit. I’m looking forward to a great relationship with such a respectable company.”

The company said Tebow will represent several of its product lines including the Jockey® “Staycool” collection, which launches in spring 2011.

For those who can't get enough of the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner, he will be featured in Jockey’s catalog, TV and print advertisements and on Jockey and Tebow will also collaborate on unique content for social media platforms.
