Tim Tebow will play in Senior Bowl
When the Sugar Bowl ended, about all Tim Tebow was sure of was that his Florida football career was over.
Tebow said he hadn't selected an agent, wasn't sure about his pre-NFL workouts and didn't know whether he would play in the Under Armour Senior Bowl, a prime opportunity to be seen by coaches and front office people from the 32 NFL teams.
Senior Bowl officials confirmed Saturday that Tebow will play in the Senior Bowl, which will be held on Jan. 30.
“One of my reasons to play (in the Senior Bowl) was because I love competing and I love what it takes to be a football player,'' Tebow told Senior Bowl officials. "There are a lot of things in training that you do but you are not playing football. This (the Senior Bowl) is the only thing where you are playing football and showing football skills. That’s why I think something like the Senior Bowl is very important.''
Tebow will play for the South team, which will be coached by the Miami Dolphins staff. The game will kickoff at 3 p.m. in Ladd-Pebbles Stadium in Mobile, AL, and will be televised on the NFL Network.
