Urban Meyer: Despite Tim Tebow's injury, Gators ready to take on LSU

UMEYER Florida quarterback Tim Tebow remains questionable for Saturday's game against No. 4 LSU, but UF coach Urban Meyer declared his team is ready to go with or without the Heisman Trophy winner.

"The last two days have been fantastic,'' Meyer said following Thursday's practice. "This
team is ready to go play. I think the best team will win. There's two good teams playing, but I know the Gators are going to give good effort."

Tebow practiced for the third consecutive day after missing more than a week due to a concussion he suffered Sept. 26 against Kentucky. He continues to undergo tests and doctors are interested in seeing how Tebow responds following the Friday afternoon flight to Baton Rouge.

Asked if Tebow will play, Meyer said: "I don't know that. Once again, it's day to day. They want to see how he reacts to the flight and there's all kinds of things they're still
looking at.''

Meyer said Tebow had an excellent day of practice on Thursday and at this point the only hurdle that remains is the final evaluation of the medical team.

"I think it's just evaluation, and the doctors still doing the testing,'' Meyer said. "I'm going to meet with them tomorrow and listen."
