Urban Meyer says he won't put blame on players, staff publicly
Fans on message boards and radio talk shows are airiing their frustrations over Florida coach Urban Meyer's failure to take the blame or blame anyone else on his staff or team for the Gators' disappointing season.
Meyer said today while he believes in accontability, don't expect him to publicly blame anyone in the Gators' program for Florida's problems.
"I've done this for a long time and '05 was probably the last time that I remember that there was a lot of that kind of discussion (about fans' discontentment),'' Meyer said. "(It's) discussion I'm usually not a part of 'cause that's not my, my obligation is to these football players
and to this team and this staff and all we're trying to do is win the next game. Obviously there will be accountability because that's our profession. That's what I do. That's what we do. But to make it public and throw players under the bus or throw coaches under the bus, that's not part of our plan.''
