Urban Meyer talks Outback Bowl, love for Gators

In his final formal press conference on Friday, Florida coach Urban Meyer said the Gators have had excellent preparations for Saturday's Outback Bowl game against Penn State, and he's eager to see whether the Florida players will be able to put aside the distractions of the past few weeks and play well.

“I do think about that,’’ Meyer said. “I hope they do. . . I think the older players will play like there's no tomorrow. And I'm hoping the younger players carry the torch and follow them. I think the (Justin) Trattou’s of the world and A.J. Joneses’, those guys will play because they're the invested group.’’

More on the game and his love for Florida and Gator fans.
