Will Muschamp hangs out the "Help Wanted" sign
With National Signing Day behind him, Florida coach Will Muschamp and his staff now turn their attention to spring football.
Muschamp was hired in December, then waited in the background for a few extra weeks while Urban Meyer completed his tenure. From then on, most of his time was spent on the recruiting trail.
Now he'll spend time learning about and getting to know his current players and the early enrollees.
But he made one thing clear: when spring practice begins in March, Florida's got plenty of job openings.
"Every job on our football team is open,'' Muschamp said. "That's not just the quarterback position. I don't look at that position as (different from) any other. And anybody - the best motivator in any sport or anything is competition. When a guy knows he's got to go out and compete for his job every day, then he's going to play well. That's every job. That's every day. That's the way you've got to live your life.''
That also means that standout freshman QB Jeff Driskel may have a chance to play this season. Driskel, rated the No. 10 player in the ESPNU 150, is already enrolled at UF and will participate in spring drills.
