Will Tebow's Super Bowl ad hurt or help his image?

Tim Tebow's decision to be featured in a Super Bowl ad along with his mother supporting a pro-life organization could be the quarterback's first real test of how his strong Christian message will translate in the NFL.

The ad will feature the story of how Tebow's mother refused to have an abortion when doctors suggested it after she became sick while pregnant with him. The ad is for a group called Focus on the Family.

FanHouse College Football writer Clay Davis believes the response to this ad will go a long way in deciding how the rest of the country - outside of southern college football fans - will view Tebow as he transitions to a different audience.

"Now that he transitions to a larger stage outside the welcoming footprint of the most religious portion of the United States, the question has to be asked: How will Tebow's evangelism be received?,'' Davis writes.
