Winning the SEC Indoor Track Championships has No. 1 Gators well prepared for nationals



The Florida men's track and field team will compete for an NCAA Indoor National Championship this weekend with a bullseye on its back.

The Gators remained in the No. 1 spot in the latest U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association national
computer rankings this week. This week’s rankings reflect those who declared and were accepted into the national-championship field.

The national championships will be held  March 11-12 in College Station, Texas, - hosted by Texas A&M.

LSU is ranked No. 2 this week, followed by No. 3 Arkansas, No. 4 Texas A&M and fifth-ranked. BYU.

Four SEC teams rank among the nation’s top-25 this week: No. 1 Florida, No. 2 LSU, No. 3 Arkansas and No. 21 Alabama.
