Countryside alum Gray Crow setting up $500,000 endowment for Miami Hurricanes

Former Countryside quarterback Gray Crow is giving back to the Miami Hurricanes in an interesting way.

The former three-star recruit donated $5,000 to the Carol Soffer Football Indoor Practice Facility, as the Miami Herald writes. The ‘Canes broke ground on the $34 million facility Thursday.

The 2015 graduate is also setting up a $500,000 endowment fund in his name.

"I don't have a half-million-dollar check to cut, obviously, because a 23-year-old can't do that," Crow told the Herald. "But I'm very young and healthy, fresh out of college football, and it's easier for me to do it that way.

"You're essentially leaving a legacy to the school. I've spent the past year in the securities business, and that was the bulk of what I did for people. I started a new chapter in my life and I felt like it was a good gesture.''
