Dalvin Cook leaving Florida State for NFL draft
Florida State star running back Dalvin Cook will forgo his senior season to enter the NFL draft.
Cook announced his decision (which was widely expected) Saturday via Instagram.
"These last three years at Florida State was the best three years of my life, man," Cook said. "After much consideration, I just want to tell everybody I will be taking my talents to the 2017 NFL draft."
Cook is expected to be a first-round pick and might even be a Bucs target.
He went out with a bang - an MVP performance in Friday's Orange Bowl, in his hometown of Miami. Cook leaves as the best running back in Seminoles history. His 4,464 career rushing yards are the most in FSU history and second-most ever in the ACC. No player in NCAA history has rushed for that many yards in only three seasons.
The 5-foot-11, 213-pound Cook was a unanimous All-America selection this season. He finished with 1,765 rushing yards and 19 touchdowns to go with 488 receiving yards.
