Florida Gators flip four-star WR Tyrie Cleveland
Florida's offense got a huge jolt Wednesday morning when WR Tyrie Cleveland flipped his commitment to the Gators.
Cleveland from Houston's Westfield High had been orally committed to Houston. But the four-star recruit and 247Sports' No. 2 receiver in the country entered the stage wearing a Gators sweatshirt and ripped jeans. He signed his letter of intent to UF moments later.
The 6-foot-2, 189-pound Cleveland also considered TCU, among others. Cleveland is one of UF's most highly touted receiving prospects since Percy Harvin.
The Gators have announced a few other signings: Three-star DE Jachai Polite (Daytona Beach Mainland), three-star RB Lamical Perine and three-star OL Jawaan Taylor (Cocoa).
UF has received some bad news, however. DL Shavar Manuel (formerly of Blake High) announced that he was decommitting from the Gators. Florida State becomes the most likely landing spot for Manuel, a four-star recruit who finished his high school career at Brandenton's IMG Academy.
