UPDATE, 1:49: UF said in a statement that it is aware of the situation and has already addressed it. There is no change in Pineiro's status for Saturday's game at No. 16 LSU. The original story is below:

Florida Gators kicker Eddy Pineiro is in trouble...for kicking scooters.

Pineiro was cited for a misdemeanor charge of property damage/criminal mischief earlier this month, according to Alachua County court records filed yesterday. According to a sworn complaint from the university police department, Pineiro "began pushing over scooters that were next to his. Pineiro damaged two scooters by kicking them, and then ripping off the side mirrors."

Pineiro later admitted to the actions, according to the records. Damage is estimated at $800.

UF coach Jim McElwain was asked about Pineiro on Wednesday because of a message-board rumor.

"Geez Louise," McElwain told reporters. "You guys spend too much time on that crap."

Pineiro is expected to play Saturday at LSU.
