Florida Gators' Marcus Maye out for the year with broken arm
Florida Gators safety Marcus Maye will miss the rest of the year after breaking a bone in his arm, coach Jim McElwain said after Saturday's 20-7 win over South Carolina.
Maye, a redshirt senior, entered Saturday with 49 tackles (third on the team), an interception and five pass breakups. He chose to return to UF this season instead of entering the NFL draft.
In other injury news, McElwain didn't have an update on left tackle David Sharpe (leg) or offensive lineman Tyler Jordan (leg). Both of them left Saturday's game with injuries.
Linebacker Jarrad Davis (ankle) didn't play this week and will probably be out next week, too, McElwain said.
