Florida Gators miss out on five-star quarterback Jacob Eason
Five-star QB recruit Jacob Eason announced Tuesday that he is sticking with his oral commitment to Georgia and will not play at Florida.
Eason, a Washington native and Rivals' No. 6 overall prospect for the class of 2016, was a top Gators target whose commitment wavered after the Bulldogs fired coach Mark Richt. He visited UF soon after Richt's dismissal, but it apparently wasn't enough to pry him away from UGA.
Eason recommitted - or at least reiterated his prior commitment - Tuesday, when he was named Gatorade's national football player of the year.
