Florida kickers envious of UK's successful trick play

At the time, it was a critical play that tied the game.

Later on, it was an awesome play that had Florida Gators' kickers envious.

With just under two minutes remaining in the Florida-Kentucky game Saturday night, the Wildcats lined up to kick a field goal trailing 7-0. Instead, Kentucky kicker Joe Monsour broke to the right sideline and ran 25 yards for a touchdown to tie the game 7-7 with 1:46 left in the first quarter.

At the time, it stunned the Gators and gave momentum to Kentucky. But after the Gators had secured a 24-7 victory, it allowed the Florida kickers a chance to acknowledge a great play.

One they all dream of.

"I was pretty jealous of him, I’m not gonna lie," Florida kicker Austin Hardin said today. "Every kicker wants to go run a touchdown. We actually, it was funny, I think it was during halftime or after the game all the kickers went up to him and congratulated him and were like ‘mMan, you just lived out our dream’. I thought that they caught us in something, I thought they executed pretty well and it was cool to see a kicker score a touchdown.”

"We were just joking around with him," Hardin continued. "And we were like, that’s awesome that you got to score a touchdown.”
